Question

Are there any Amvets type trucks picking up donations of assorted household items? (I know drop-off centers are closed. ) I was using my garage as a donation holding area since last fall, but it was too cold out there all winter to sort & box & itemize things for Goodwill, etc. Most items would sell for $5 or less at a thrift store, but they’re still usable & I refuse to put them in the landfill. We’re a conscientious & healthy physically-distanced couple who’s had NOBODY else in the garage for MONTHS!

I posted on aurora garage sale site. I stated goodwill porch pick up. free. must take everything. I had 25 boxes. Lots of interest, gone by late morning.

College Hunks Hauling Junk is making deliveries to many non profits due to their relationships. Ask for Frank.

There is a man I found on NextDoor named Isaac Flores. His company is Yellow Box Truck. He hauls anything. Maybe check with him.

It's been noted in previous posts that hesed house is not taking clothing at this time.

@ingate3 I’m pretty sure Hesed’s not taking goods donations right now. They’re overflowing in capacity. And even when they ARE taking donations, they won’t want the assorted stuff I have. They want things most residents could use, not misc. kitchenware & knickknacks.

I heard from a person who works in a Goodwill store that they are all furloughed through August. Try posting on a Freecycle Facebook page.
