Does anyone know anything about plumbing? At least one of our toilets (usually in the kids bathroom) backs up almost every day. Of course, we assume they are just using too much TP or whatever but occasionally the garbage disposal backs up into the other side (we have a split sink). If drains right away as soon as I turn it off and it doesn't happen every time but I am wondering if both of these things are a signal that something is going on in the pipes somewhere? Happy to call a plumber if that is what's needed just not sure .

Definitely call a plumber the exact thing happened to us. The toliet upstairs kids bathroom wasnt flushing correctly then the sink was back up. Then the bathroom in the basement actually overflowed but all of this not at the same time so i didnt think anything of it. Few days later our basement laundry room flooded sewage and water backed up from the drain holes in the basement. Call emergency plumber they roded all the toliets still had backup coming up from the drains in the floor when toliet was flushed. They roded out the sewer lines and it there was a clog of debris . Plumber said it was either tree roots or rust build up and all the toliet paper and debris from garbage disposal was getting caught and causing a huge clog. Thank god he was able to rod through it and our gome owners insurance covered everything including damages. But i would not wait! It could turn into something huge better safe then sorry!

I’d call a plumber to talk through. I’d hate to be sitting on a ticking timebomb where one day it’s a disaster. Mark Mueller of Choice Plumbing is super helpful and very reasonable.

I’d call. You never know. We had a pleasant experience with Paul. Awesome to work with and showed up the same day.
