Hey there moms! Our family just lost our first dog were devastated and heartbroken but we had to do what was best for our little lady.Hey there moms! Our family just lost our first dog were devastated and heartbroken but we had to do what was best for our little lady. How long did you wait before you got a dog after letting go? I’m trying to stay strong but it’s tough. We’d like to get another Yorkie when the time is right. Are there any Yorkie breeders around the area what do you recommend?

I’m so sorry! We had to put our golden down last March and ended up getting a new dog in June. Our other dog was very depressed without her sibling so that made the decision to get a new one easier.

So sorry for your loss. Everyone’s timeline is different. Allow yourself time to grieve and decide as a family when you’re ready. We waited a year or so after we lost our big guy unexpectedly. My husband and I didn’t want to rush into getting another dog because it felt too much like we’d be getting a “replacement” dog rather than adding another family member. But some people feel like the need to fill the emptiness right away which is understandable. Discuss it with your family and see how everyone feels and respect each members grieving process. Much love!

There are so many rescues out there please look into that. We waited 6 months after we lost our dog to get a new rescue. I felt we needed to grieve and not replace him.

I may have a litter of AKC dachshunds the end of May. They are normally around $4000 from the pet store. I'm selling them for $1500 each.

So sorry for your loss ❤ We had to put our beagle mix down in Dec 2016 and got a yorkie puppy 2 weeks later. We got ours from a breeder, MysticDreamYorkies. com we haven't had any issues with our dog and she's 3. 5 years old.

I don’t believe in waiting very long between dogs. We lost our dog last week and adopted a bonded pair yesterday. Nothing heals a broken heart like a new to you pooch!

I'm so sorry! They are family. It's a personal thing, no time on how long to grieve. When I was a kid we went the next week! As an adult I waited a year, more because the kids were really little.

We waited 3 months only because we lost our dog this November. If it was the spring summer I would have waited only 1 month.

We had 2 dogs, one was 3 and the other passed away right at Thanksgiving at age 16. Our other dog was so lonesome and so were we! We got a second in January and that felt right. Losing a pet is just awful, I’m so sorry.

So sorry for your loss. We had to say goodbye to our dog back in February. If we do get another dog it will be a while.

So very sorry. Losing a pet is devastating. There are many great rescues out there. All 3 of mine came from different shelters. They have all been wonderful dogs.

Hi Moms! We are in the process of negotiating during an inspection for a new home, but we need a siding contractor who can help us take a look at the siding and see if it needs to be replaced or if it can wait a few years.
