Good morning!  Has anyone tried collagen supplements?Good morning! Has anyone tried collagen supplements? I bought a tub of a collagen powder from SkinnyFit in a moment of weakness. I actually think my skin is looking better, but I have two issues with this particular brand: 1. It’s too expensive ($70+ per month) 2. I hate the powder form especially since you can’t mix it in plain water. So it’s hard for me to get three servings a day. Any other experiences with collagen?

I used the vital proteins powder and it’s absolutely tasteless and can be mixed with water. But they’re all expensive. The vital proteins is $25 for the tub that would last a month for one scoop a day

Costco has Youtheory ! It’s supposed to be a decent brand but you have to swallow 6 capsules every day ! I just do 2-3 per day ! They also have the turmeric capsules in the same brand .

You can also purchase capsules and make your own so you just have to swallow.

Collagen by itself tastes like dust. Throw it in with a smoothie or even add it to a sauce/stir fry

The Neocell powder is the most versatile and economical I have found. You can also take collagen as a capsule. My daughter and I take it for gut health. Use it for 3-6 months minimum. Other options are bone broth powder or L-glutamine powder. Bone broth comes in flavors, or buy plain and add it to sauces. I also make bone broth/soup, or purchase bone broth. Add the Neocell powder to smoothies or coffee. No taste. Almost like adding a creamer. Great for skin, hair, nails.

My favorite is Vital Proteins, it mixes instantly with hot water and has no taste. You can get it cheapest at Costco. My other favorite, is better for you in some ways if you do your research, but more expensive and doesn’t mix as quickly, is Live Well. It is also harder to locate at times.

This suggestion may be a bit different of an approach but I teach Face Yoga classes that help boost collagen and elastin through face exercise and massage. My classes are posted on my facebook page if you are ever interested in checking them out! Face Yoga Refresh

I have been using this for 2. 5 weeks. It says on the label to mix with water. I have no trouble with that part. It shakes up nicely. It is a little too sweet but I add extra water.

Get a prescription for Retin A cream. I just paid $33 for a tube of cream by using the GoodRX coupon.
