Lots of items to consider. I only charge $25 an hour because my students come to my house. I don’t have to get a sitter or anything. Right now with zoom tutoring it’s the same. I just make it very clear that my own kids will be there, but so far it’s worked out great. I don’t prepare anything either mostly work on their current work with them. Chemistry and Biology are my main focus areas.

Usually $50/hour is normal. I have done tutoring for my kids the past 2 summers

My sophomore has a tutor for her Honors/AP math courses. She charges $55 an hour.

I charge $50/hr and I tutor math and science

Man I have been seriously under charging then. But maybe not with the elementary tutoring and not a specialty.

I used the free tutoring through The Merry Tutor for my oldest son when he was younger. It was drop in tutoring held at the library but I think they do online now:

I usually charge $50/hour as a professional writer tutoring kids on their writing. Most kids see a whole years worth of improvements in 16 hours, on average, with me. For college essays, my rate is higher. College Acceptances include Northwestern, Cornell, Vanderbilt, and more. I work online, too, so have had kids in NJ, IL, WI, CA, and even India and Canada.
