We’re in the Ashbury neighborhood and ours is planning to be open. The date it’ll happen is the only unknown.

The private pools are waiting on guidelines from ILDPH and DuPage county DPH

Some are taking a wait and see approach, others have closed. Best to check on each individually. (Fox Valley Park Dist. pools are closed for example, but I know Oswego Park District is waiting to see. )

I thought Pritzker made this call a couple weeks ago. No summer sports, no pools and no major gatherings ie; concerts, festivals etc.

@spallation no, he never said no summer sports or pools. Large gatherings and concerts correct. Many were already canceling or postponing on their own without state direction.

Naperville park district voted recently to discuss filing against the state to open park district activities and I assume the beach as well. No official announcement has been made for Naperville park district.

They should all open, but limit capacity to half at least depends on size or the park

Don’t think there’s been an announcement but I do remember an IL daily briefing where they discussed the issue of fecal/oral transmission in pools. Think of all the times the pools have been cleared for poo in the pool. Seems to happen 75% of the time we go.

Fox Valley isn't so we bought a pool. Even if they did we would not have been going so we felt that was the best plan.

@clarkson good idea! What kind of pool did you buy?
