Wait the wait! It really sucks but you don't want to deal with inaccurate tests just because you tested too early. Spend a little time planning stuff to keep your mind busy, that 2ww really stinks.

Also. best of luck and baby dust!

@melodics152 thank you love! I knowwww I was so depressed last time it’s horrible I don’t know if it’s good to be depressed multiple days or all at once lol I’m just the most impatient person on the planet and being stuck at home doesn’t help lol thanks for the well wishes!

My ovidrel took a full 14 days to not show up anymore on a home pregnancy test. It takes a long time and the wait is horrible but worth it!
by (3.8k points)
@vise oh wow good to know! A false positive would be the worst! I didn’t know it lasted that long!

@donetta6 good luck! Baby dust!

I waited. it sucks but I didn’t want a false positive
by (3.8k points)
@vidrine2119 Cromer I agree the gal above you said hers lasted in her system a lot longer than I thought - we do one more IUI tomorrow to do 2 in a row - had the first one today - last months cycle had failed and I didn’t even ovulate even with the drug ‍♀️

I didn’t wait. I took tests less than 2 weeks. Both positive and I have 2 healthy IUI babies!
by (3.8k points)
@tanana congrats! Our son was an IUI baby! Our first one worked and I never pregnancy tested with him till bloodwork - now we are on our second IUI trying for our second and I’m way more impatient right now lol

I always waited the two weeks. Been through too much to go through a false positive.
by (3.8k points)
@damara yeah a false positive I would be very sad and way worse than just mentally getting through a negative

I never waited EVER! We’re doing iui next month
by (3.8k points)
@eiger yay prayers for u hunny! What a wild time right now for fertility - blessed we both can do our cycles !
by (1.5k points)
@donetta6 I know! After years of fertility I’ve been able to get pregnant randomly on my own and lost both. Finally able to start iui and covid hits, it’s always something.
by (3.8k points)
@eiger oh sweetheart what a journey I am so sorry for your losses I really cannot imagine - my sister lost 2 babies, one being at 17 weeks we were just devastated such a hard thing to go through, BUT those little angels are waiting for you in heaven and God will restore double to you! My sister now has a boy and expecting a girl in July!
by (3.8k points)
@eiger also I had to switch doctor bc my cycle was cancelled too with covid to a clinic that was open

Wait the two weeks. I went through four rounds of IUI so I know it’s so hard to wait, but you want the right test results.
by (3.8k points)
@momentary just curious did u do the ovidrel and other drugs or just ovidrel? We did just ovidrel this time like we did the first time and if it doesn’t work will add femara for the 3rd round

I did IVf. But I started testing the day after transfer to test out the trigger and I tested everyday! Although I’m a crazy person when it comes to peeing on a stick! Lol
by (3.8k points)
@ryun gurlllll I feel u lol I feel super impatient psycho right now lol did your ivf work?! My stepsister just did her transfer today and I had my IUI today we r praying we r both pregnant together!
by (1.6k points)
@donetta6 my 1st transfer in 2014 worked. Then I did 3 failed IVF in hopes for baby #2 and we gave up. Miraculously we got pregnant natural in 6/2018. Stay as positive as possible! Miracles really do happen.

Only time I tested early was with frozen cycles where I didn’t have to trigger. A false positive would be the worst . Good luck!
by (3.8k points)
@ish70174 'Belter' Rueffer the worst! Lol With my son I was working and busy and now I’m a stay at home mom stuck at home w covid so I’m super antsy lol
by (1.4k points)
@donetta6 well. In that case I don’t know if I could hold off either . I guess 2 tests would help tell! Take one and if the line is lighter the next day you know it’s probably the trigger leaving and if it’s getting darker it’s probably the real deal ‍♀️.  for you!

When I did IVF they tested me 10 days out. Only bc the trigger shot can cause a false positive test.

I think I was told 10 days? But I did take one too early the first time around (not knowing how it worked). For the last one I bought a test and did it as soon as 10 days hit  but waited for bloodwork to confirm. It took 3 IUIs for our first daughter and 2 for our second. Sending prayers your way!

I waited and I didn’t believe the stupid pee tests until my bloodwork confirmed a viable pregnancy. I want to say three cycles for my first and four for my second. They’re almost 7 and 4 now. how soon those 2 weeks will be forgotten, when you are holding your sweet baby. Best wishes.

I waited the full two weeks. With my first IUI, I didn’t test myself. I waited for the blood test. And it was positive. I only tested myself one other time when I was sure it didn’t work. I wanted to see the negative at home to process it alone. Baby dust to you!  ✨ Edited to add: I used ovidrel with each IUI

Good luck! We waited just to have the most accurate news ❤️ but do you, girl!
by (3.8k points)
@slattern did u do the ovidrel shot too?
by (2.2k points)
@donetta6 yep!
by (3.8k points)
@slattern me too - our first one I didn’t even ovulate but now I have a follicle opposite ovary so hopefully this guy like to release! Lol

Waited not only until 20 weeks, but hanged the envelope at my desk for 2 additional weeks. Waited for the family to come back and throw us a grnder reveal party. I have to say, that envelope drove all my coworkers crazy.
by (3.8k points)
@espinoza omg lol u are so patient! I would have ripped that sucker open the day I got it! LOL that being said with our second I want to be surprised at a little gender reveal thing instead of tearing our genetic test open and finding out
by (1.8k points)
@donetta6 lol, my husband is that in patient :), which was the reason, I brought it to work . And OMG, what tricks he pulled on the technician who was doing the scan . But I loved her, she said 'if mom says she doesn't want to know, then we will not say. And by the way, don't try calling in after the appointment. We won't tell you over the phone either'
by (1.8k points)
@donetta6 gender reveal was fun! Worth every second of the wait Lol. My boy is almost 6 months.
by (3.8k points)
@espinoza awwwwww this is adorable!
by (1.8k points)
@donetta6 I wish you good luck with the second one ;)

Unfortunately I waited. I couldn’t see the positive test turn negative. Sounds so stupid but mentally I couldn’t handle that. That being said, my IUI baby is 13 months old now. Fingers crossed for you mama!
by (3.8k points)
@aspia omg my first IUI baby boy is 13 months in 5 days! So fun! Do u have a girl or boy?
by (2.3k points)
@donetta6 Luke turned 1 on 3/28  thanks to Dr Morris
by (3.8k points)
@aspia yes we saw Kaplan downtown in city for our first but then our cycle for our second was cancelled w covid and we found Dr Jeelani in Hoffman estates and switched!
by (2.3k points)
@donetta6 fingers crossed the second goes smoothly!

I think I started at like 6 days past trigger. But, I wanted to make sure I caught the trigger leaving system and was worried if I didn't I'd get super excited and find I just tested too early and it was a trigger positive. Each time (did 2 IUIs) I got my positive the weekend before my scheduled blood draws.
