Does anyone have a hand lotion that they love and that treats extremely dry/cracked hands? My hands are the worst they’ve been in a few winters- cracks to the point that they bleed from being so dry and super painful. I’m constantly washing my hands and then constantly applying lotion and balm. Temporarily, it helps, but I really need a better lotion (or other products, maybe oils? ) that can hopefully repair my skin. Thanks for any feedback.

Beau's Butter is seriously the BEST lotion I’ve used! In just a few days my cracked hands weren’t hurting anymore! And I use it like chapstick as well ❤️

@marchetti thanks for the recommendation! I just read all about it and messaged her to place an order!

@marchetti Thanks for the shout out, lady! And I’m so happy your hands have healed from the crazy dry hand winter season we are having!

@dampen Kay Extra Emollient Night Cream is part of the satin hands set, but it’s the part that REALLY helps with the dryness and cracking. The rest is more for smoothing. You can order extra emollient alone. Great for feet too!

I use Aveeno eczema lotion and then apply a heavy layer of aquaphor. Cover with white cotton gloves or white socks overnight.

I use good old Curel. Eucerin is also good but it’s pretty intense- like Vaseline.

Something about this one my husband likes. my daughters hands are realllly bad. Ped derm said use less antibacterial stuff bc alcohol dries it out (wash with gentle soap instead), put on a steroid cream and then lotion over the top

We’ve had the same problem luckily I have a lotion from Young Living that works for us. It’s a rose lotion very thick.

Cerave! Also, if you're skin is cracking put aquaphor on top of the affected area and then add hydrocortisone cream on top if that and then cover your hands with gloves, socks, etc. I know it sounds weird but I was a nanny for 8 years and I always did that with the kids when they had such dry skin and it worked so well! Hope this helps!

Pure olive oil works beautifully on my hands. Sometimes, I put gloves on to intensify the treatment.

Renew from Melaleuca is the only one that works for me. i had eczema between my fingers since a very young age and winter is always hard. It doesn’t flare up anymore since I’ve used Renew. I don’t belong anymore but still have a supply. When I run out, that is the only lotion that truly works.
by (2.5k points)
This! Same! I don’t sell melaleuca but we’ve been using it for years mostly because of this lotion. I use it everywhere and on my kids

@lymph65678 Here too! I stockpiled it when I had a membership. Now that I don’t have one anymore, that’s the one thing I miss the most.

Renew by Melaleuca. com is the very best. Clinically proven to improve your skin in just 24 hours and is the first one I've ever used that didn't burn or feel greasy after. Helps on eczema, rashes too and I even replaced my kids diaper cream with it!

Curel. My hands, especially my thumbs, would crack and bleed every winter. I even put Curel on my face with no irritation/breakouts and my skin is super sensitive. I highly recommend it!

Put coconut oil in your diet and the cracks will heal , skin less dry in 3 days! I put it on toast. Look up other ways you can ingest coconut oil? I use to get painful cracks on my fingers all the time and don’t anymore.

Yep, oils have worked best for me. Jojoba, almond or coconut depending how heavy you like it! You can add an essential oil to it to get a little scent going if you like. I put it on before going in the shower, shower as usual and there’s enough that’s absorbed that I’m not greasy. Just be careful with how much you use if you do the shower thing, it’s easy to slip (I don’t put any on my feet and it’s been fine)

@dampen Kay satin hands set has hand softener, scrub and hand cream ( priced at $36 plus tax) Hand softener plus cream works great for dry hands . You feel the difference when you use all 3 products. Use hand softener rub nicely on both hands , take pea size scrub and gently scrub your hands together , wash off with water . Dab and use hand cream . Works great . Extra emollient night cream ( which is more like Vaseline , light fragrance and thick ) works great on dry heels, elbows , knees or hands too. Priced at $15 plus tax . If you need to read more on ingredients or want to order online pls visit www. marykay. com/pdivekar , have guest checkout option too .

Thick layer of Aquaphor with gloves at night. Do not do “lotions”. You need emollients that trap in moisture. Most lotions have some degree of alcohol in them, which is pretty counterintuitive

Olive oil or coconut oil and wear a pair of cotton gloves overnight to bed. I do this myself and for my daughter when hands are that red and chapped. Works every time. And then if course moisturize during the day as needed.
