Question

This might sound weird, but has anyone heard of a dentist in the area that makes house calls?

@besought child or adult? Maybe get a dose of anti- anxiety meds prior to appointment? I think it would be hard for them to handle an appointment without their equipment but who knows.

@besought I’m not a fan of the dentist and avoided going for a few years because I didn’t like my dentist, I found a dentist I actually like and it helps a ton, shop around without a checkup just to meet a few and find someone that makes you laugh

@besought I go to Naperville dental specialist, I see Dr. Dustin, he’s aware of my dentist issues and he’s quite funny but more than that he’s much gentler than my previous dentist and I don’t avoid him like I have avoided past dentists

@singspiel that makes a huge difference! You just need to find someone you feel completely comfortable with, that is open and honest about communicating with you, and your experience will be so much better!

There is one usually for the elderly. It is about $1, 000 for the 1st visit

@bussey4 woah. seriously?! That’s insane. I’ve done house calls for elderly patients that use to come to my office but are not able to anymore at no charge. I wouldn’t change that, but I had zero clue people charge that much for that type of thing. My mind is officially blown.

Hi @besought I’m a general and family dentist in Naperville. I completely understand your anxiety , a lot of my patients are extremely scared/nervous or had bad previous experiences that have traumatized them from coming to the dentist. I don’t do house calls, but we are extremely comfortable with nervous patients as we see lots of high anxiety ones, and have lots of all natural techniques to ease you during your appointment .
