Buying a home in an HOA: is it normal to be charged $300 "Condo Assoc Questionnaire" in closing cost fees? It's not a condo, it's a single family home. Just wondering if this is the norm.

Yes unfortunately. I am a local real estate attorney. If there is an HOA they can charge for those things. Every HOA is different. Some charge new homeowner fees and whatnot too.

Hi Moms! We are in the process of negotiating during an inspection for a new home, but we need a siding contractor who can help us take a look at the siding and see if it needs to be replaced or if it can wait a few years.

A contractor told us that if our home’s wallpaper was applied before we moved in 27 years ago, it would be SO hard to remove, it would be more cost-effective to REPLACE the drywall, than to fix the damage.
