Plan on getting my 18yr old the real id. I recently got mine, so I know what docs are needed. What would I bring for the mail portion for him? He doesn’t have any bills in his name. Thanks.

W-2, report card, social security card, healthcare invoice with address (like a dentist bill).

Does he have a bank account? Printout of a statement.

Yes, he has a savings account. Thanks! Didn’t even think of that.

@db49505, glad to help. I just went through this with a 17 year old.

Medical bills sometimes come in kids/teens names at that age - maybe check if you have any of those?

Mine was able to use transcript but it had to be an official transcript.

Can it be printed off of home access?

@db49505 as long as it doesn’t say ‘unofficial’ on it. The one we printed had the large unofficial watermark across the page and they wouldn’t take that.

This is a really handy checklist. It allows you to choose from each category and then lists what to bring so you don’t forget.
