Can some mommas help clarify! I keep hearing about the stimulus, however I am so confused. Do we have to do something? Is this really happening? Is your income qualification separate for child qualification. I’m trying to prepare, husband laid off . I’m about to be the only one bringing income.

It’s based on your taxes from either 2018 or 2019 depending if you filed for 2019 And if you have kids you get $500 for each kid

If you filed together for your taxes there’s a certain amount you’ll get If you filed separately there’s a certain amount you’ll get  WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR THE PAYMENTS? Anyone earning up to $75, 000 in adjusted gross income and who has a Social Security number will receive a $1, 200 payment. That means married couples filing joint returns will receive the full payment — $2, 400 — if their adjusted gross income, which what you report on your taxes, is under $150, 000. The payment steadily declines for those who make more. Those earning more than $99, 000, or $198, 000 for joint filers, are not eligible. The thresholds are slightly different for those who file as a head of household.

Unemployment insurance is separate from the stimulus. Also you do not have to pay taxes in the stimulus or pay it back. You will just have to note if you received it in your 2020 taxes.

Ok thanks guys. Googling this online brings up so many offers to things. Husband working on his unemployment. So we just sit back and wait for all this to blow over.  Not sure how much longer my company will keep us employed.
