Depends on what you mean by “after”. If you mean right when the stay at home order is lifted, nope! If you mean after there’s a reliable treatment and/or a vaccine, yes.
by (2.5k points)
@abell Exactly. It’s going to still be out there. And I’m afraid we will see a spike in cases again. Even possibly have to quarantine again. I’ve read things won’t go back to normal until we have a vaccine. Even then normal will be different.

I would LOVE too. but I’d be lying if I say that I’m going rrrrriiiight away . Once this order is lifted. this isn’t just gone. I would be too nervous.

I just bought everything needed for a home gym. I think the only way I’ll go back is because I like the pool. (I have rheumatoid arthritis. Sometimes the pool is the only work out I can tolerate)

I've been working out at home with a Beachbody on demand subscription for years. I find too many excuses to skip gyms plus it's fairly cheap. 130 a year and you can do most of the strength training with low cost resistance bands.

@coiffeur dang. What’s the time line difference?
by (3.3k points)
I’m part of edge fitness and burn boot camp. I love it, but maybe as something to add for at home.

Unfortunately we have a high risk family member and until a vaccine or something comes out we still won't be able to be overly social. We'll be able to go out and be careful, but with limits. The gym I believe will be one of those that won't make the cut. We can be active and exercise in other ways.

No way! The population of people who will run back in will likely include a disproportionate number of those who never really quarantined so just a massive germ fest.

Yes, for the treadmill and elliptical. I only go once a week and try to space myself out from people anyway, so it’s worth it at Planet Fitness’s price.

Yes! Just wash hands and don’t touch face. I feel that applies anyway. But I will be extra extra careful now. I can’t wait to go back

Not a chance. My honey got a Peloton for Christmas. We will be canceling our gym membership. I'm doing yoga with an instructor in my basement.
by (510 points)
@quarterage have you tried any of the yoga classes on the Peloton app? I’ve only done a few, so I was wondering how they are.
by (1.6k points)
@taxonomy I have done a few yoga classes and also some of the dance party classes. I love them both! They have both flow yoga and a bunch of other types. I tend to prefer flow but you can pick others. I find that I need to do a 30 minute or longer but am really happy when them. Plus I just have to walk to my basement and don’t need to worry about what I’m wearing or if I’m on time. I love it! There are also live classes if that is something you prefer. Peloton is not just the bike. I have actually never done the bike. I prefer the floor workouts.
