Question

Is anyone aware of a Naperville ordinance that states that your outside shed must match the color of your house? Is this real? I want to paint my shed a la Nesting with Grace style, and thought i would check here first because I couldn’t find it on Naperville’s website. Thanks!

I don’t believe so. maybe only if it’s visible from the street. You can check the municipal code on the city’s website. I know there is a house in 75th that has a bright pink shed visible from the street so I doubt it.

I’ve seen black sheds in a Naperville. Check your HOA though.

I don’t think so unless you have the HOA. I’ve seen a pink one and other random colors. Ours is red. (Like a little barn) but the house is definitely not. Lol

@headwaters awesome to hear! My friend told me it was an ordinance and I can’t locate it in the municipal code for Naperville, so I think I’m going for it.

Our HOA has a rule like that but I don’t think it is a city ordinance

Not a city ordinance. Likely your homeowner's associations. Mine don't match!
