Today we had a city of Naperville worker come to our house saying that the meter for our electrical hasn't been working, and the guy did whatever he did to fix it. Has this happened to anyone? We've been charged for our electrical as usual, so what made them think it wasn't working? Should I expect a larger bill going forward now?

@formalin That seems really strange that they didn’t give you a heads up beforehand.

We had someone come out but got at least one letter in the mail letting us know, and then we had to call the city to schedule a time for someone to come out.

In our last house we paid our neighbor's electrical bill and they paid our's for 10 YEARS! When the houses were built the wrong meters were put on the houses. It took them 10 years to figure it out. They don't always know what is going on with the meters. We only had to pay the difference in the bills for a 12 month period
