What do you need done? My husband is pretty handy and maintained his boats and engines his whole life

@heave We have a Alpha 1 motor inboard. We replaced the impeller with a brand new kit also replaced the gear oil. After we finished we started the engine and let idol for few min. After it did not over heat we pressed down on the throttle and the engine begin to over heat. We must have done something wrong during the repair process. Can he help?

He days it could be a thermostat. Unfortunately, he is not able to look at it. he is leaving town for a week tomorrow.
