Could also be the fact when they change the meter they do a true water meter read off your old one. So if you haven’t given a reading in a while there’s your jump.

One thing I realized is when our heat is running a lot it also means our humidifier (that’s installed on the furnace) is running a lot.

Of course not to the point of using 4x our usual amount of water. If you compare your bills was the period of time different? I feel like the frequency of the water billing seems random, but I haven’t compared recent bills.

@sternberg and they usually estimate 9000 gallons they double it. No major lifestyle change. Even when we had little ones and ran the sprinkler, filled a pool, it was not that high

@mcculley no, I’m super sensitive, we did and it was fixed immediately. They under charged me last year, their mistake and hasn’t been right since

Based on everyone else’s usage, your price this month way way to high. Walk around your house and make sure nothing is leaking, even a little drip could add up. Call the company and talk to them, be nice, explain you’ve had no lifestyle changes and that there has to be something wrong. there’s no reason for that. I hope you get it fixed!
