Hi moms!  This will be my daughter first year in school she starts kindergarten in the fall.Hi moms! This will be my daughter first year in school she starts kindergarten in the fall. I’ve been told kindergarten is half day and full day, which has me a little confused. Our neighborhood school is Whittier. Any idea if it’s full/half day? And do they nap?

Full day/ no real napping. My kids took a few months to adjust but finally got there:)

Full day, no napping (sadly! ) in D97 in my experience. Nationwide, kindergarten is the new first grade.

All D97 (Oak Park) schools are full day KG, D90 in River Forest is 1/2 day. We love Whittier and hope you do too!
