@rigid37 fyi the bleach is only good for 24hours after mixing in water
by (1k points)
@heisenberg yes! Thank you. I made a bunch. Wiped stuff down and will make a new batch when need be

@rigid37 just wanted to make sure you were aware. I’ve seen that graphic going around and it’s great but only when used properly.

@heisenberg really? So if I made a big spray bottle it’s worthless after 24 hours?
by (200 points)
@gerfen77621 I think so. I also think it needs to sit on the surface for a while to actually work. You can’t just spray and immediately wipe it off.

We have Clorox spray and douse them on paper towels before going out to grocery shop. Store in ziplock bag.

Aldi gets shipments daily so your best bet is to get there right when they open. I am not sure how often they are getting wipes in but I can check tomorrow when I work and get back to you?

@siam6322 I’d appreciate that! ❤️

I found some yesterday at target in Oswego at 10am. I would definitely go early. Most places have a restriction of one per person.

@dynasty Thanks hun! Any idea id stock availability on the target app is up to date?
by (1.4k points)
@salpingotomy I would guess not. I can’t imagine it updates automatically when something is purchased. If you are buying a high demand item (like cleaning wipes) I would doubt its right. The big containers they had were all natural and the small (35 count) was disinfecting. All they had were targets brand.

I have had such a hard time finding wipes. We have NONE. So my solution was placing a mason jar on my counter with a capful of bleach then topped up with water and dishcloths inside. Voila! Reusable bleach wipes. I also have one spray bottle of lysol. I poured the lysol into an old wipes container cut down a roll of paper towels. Works great!

I have found them every time I have gone to Woodmans when they open at 7AM. The only trouble is that there is a limit of 1 canister per family per day.
by (810 points)
@splashdown779 As in 1 of these per person? Or do they have the 2packs? We typically buy from Sams but no luck
by (2k points)
@salpingotomy , yep 1 canister of about 75 wipes, unfortunately. It's frustrating but that's probably why at least it's not a wasted trip and you can rely on getting a canister each time. I've always arrived by 7:30AM and they've had 1.

I am just curious why you need wipes specifically? Seriously, I'm not trying to be a smartass. I just wipe everything with hot soapy water and a dish rag. Worked for my grandparents, my parents and me.

@yan384 because we’re a society of convenience.

I've been wondering the same thing. It's pretty easy to find disinfecting sprays (or make your own) and just spray it on a cloth or paper towel. I think wipes are not very eco-friendly for daily use IMHO.

Sam's had a bunch of them out there. It made me mad that they are selling a four pack I believe and the big container and this couple grabbed four packs when the guy said one per person I was ok with one because a four pack is more than plenty (greedy people ) btw I only get them when to go out like pump gas, atm machines etc
by (810 points)
@leta4 I am a banker and I am so happy you use them on ATMS!
by (610 points)
@salpingotomy oh God with my OCD and phobia I can't touch them without cleaning them and the handheld devices in stores ugh. just the thought lol
by (810 points)
@leta4 I see it daily where someone will touch the atm, grab their phone/wallet, touch their face or rub their nose! Its crazy the bad habits a lot of us have
