We have a front loader and it drains directly into pipes in the wall we don’t have it where it goes into a sink of some sort and you can put a mesh stocking or trap on the end of it. Does anyone else have this situation? And are there any extra steps we need to be taking? It just seems odd that you would normally have it get filtered in one house and then in another house it just goes right into the drain

Ours is like that. We don’t have a lint trap on our discharge line either. We don’t do anything special but I keep a straighten out hanger on hand and stick it in the PVC pipe once in a while to see if anything comes out.
