Does Sprint have a good signal around this area? I've been with Verizon forever and nervous to make the change but my bill is making me want to leave?

If you are looking for a switch for something cheaper you should consider going to a prepaid company like Boost (which is sprint network) or Metro Pcs (which is T-Mobile network). They are by far the best cheapest way to go. I am with Metro PCS and I only pay 135 for 4 phones unlimited everything and the phones I got for switching were really free no monthly payments on them and they are mine to keep the only thing I paid at time of signing was taxes on the phones which was only 20 for all 4 phones and first month payment. My bill never goes up stays the same and have had the service 3 years now. I also get service everywhere I go even without Wi-Fi turned on I can still access all apps you would use.

@simonsen0 we have 4 iPhones. What types of phones do you get?! Man I am tempted!
by (1.2k points)
@nason you should definitely check them out. You can get any phone. So if you wanted to switch over with your same phone numbers from a different company you can purchase the iPhone's at half the price and they're yours to keep, no pay half now and you see the rest on your bill crap like other companies. I will never switch to anyone else again.

@nason you're welcome. And just so you know I do not work for them  just a very satisfied customer

@nason you can check out their website. They have pretty good deals if your switching over from another carrier. free phones but you have to pay activation fee and taxes on the free phones. I have metro Pcs as well and I love it

I left Verizon for Sprint a little over a year ago and I don't have too many complaints. The bill for a family of 4 on Verizon was awful. A few times over the summer we travel to Central Illinois and have spotty signal when we get to the remote areas but that's really the only issue we've had. They're not perfect but no carrier is.

I would add just remember that you do get what you pay for. This is one of those situations where it's very apparent, but again, the Verizon bill was just sickening.

We’ve had Sprint for years. Some spotty service in certain areas in Oswego. Doesn’t happen often. Service has improved a lot over the years. The only time we have had any real issues is when we go into Wisconsin( very rural area) and the couple trips we’ve made to Northern Michigan.

I could be wrong, but I believe that T-Mobile is purchasing sprint so not sure how that will change things?!?

Sprint redid all their towers around 8 years ago, worst year ever, haven’t had any other issues in 20 years. I have called and had my bill lowered, pay less than $140 for 4 phones (not unlimited internet, didn’t need it)
