Just google about girls going missing after connecting with random people over the internet. Men fake being female to lure young girls and kidnap them and people never see them again

@matthaus3 I’m a HS teacher so not the best at advice for this age group, but most apps are 13+ to create a profile. If they want to be able to message back and forth I’ve heard some families like the kids version of Messenger.

Google apps that can help manage their phones. Family Link is what I use and any and all apps require me putting in a password. Also, do the research on the app. I don't let my child use it if others can connect with her. I have a serious issue with games like Roblox and apps like TikTok. Also, set daily limits on it and have the phone turned in before bed.

I think the district put on an internet safety lecture once (not real helpful to you now). maybe see if the Police department have a brochure or sonething
