It’s nice but lakewood creek has an ssa tax so if you look at homes make sure you are getting the full cost of property tax. It’s much higher than what is on the listing! Beware!

@emrich683 some homes have paid it off! It’s actually an SAA tax

@rinker okay just wanted you to be aware in case you didn’t know.

@emrich683 Yes, and can definitely change a homeowners budget if they aren’t aware!  Being a realtor, it’s something that we always point out immediately and explain how/why it’s there!

We are in Lakewood Creek West - no SSA tax in our neighborhood. Have lived here 15 years and overall have been happy. Easy access to 88. Can get to shopping all around very easily in Yorkville, Batavia, Oswego, outlet mall. Pretty quiet, nice mix of people of all ages, lots of great resources in the neighborhood for different services, very active facebook groups so it's easy to find people & get info. Let me know if you have any specific questions that I can answer for you!

I’m in Montgomery crossing and am very happy. Lots of young families, a block from the school, and no association or ssa!

@apodaca87 We live in blackberry crossing. No association or ssa here either. And just a few blocks from the elementary school.

Oh my gosh hey girl! I used to do your hair in Naperville. My family list moved to oswego/montgomery area and we've never been happier. I love the schools, were close to pretty much anything you need, easy to get to 88.

I will share my post that I made yesterday in this group about a totally different question. I moved here in 2007 and unfortunately found myself being a single momma of a 1 and 2 year old just 6 short months later. I hated this house, kicked myself for leaving our 2-bedroom townhome, and was so fearful of what would happen to me as I floundered trying to do it all. I slowly became close with my neighbors in my cul-de-sac more so because all of the kids (no matter what age) would play together all hours of the day and night. In 2011, my family was struck with a devastating diagnosis. My neighbors were truly what got me through. They are not neighbors. They are not even friends. They are my family. And it now stretches so far beyond our little sac, but throughout all of LWC. We have been contemplating moving for the past couple of years and it's my Lynn Court and Lynn Drive family that has kept us here. If you haven't been able to connect, I hope you find a few good ones to connect with that you can lean on. Now that we are still looking to possibly move we realize we have been spoiled with not only awesome people but bike trails and TONS of parks that many other subdivisions just don’t offer.

Kacie, I used to live in Lakewood Creek and I loved it! I miss @qr36 and my other former neighbors so much. My husband wanted more land, so we moved out of the neighborhood. It’s a great neighborhood! I’m also a local realtor and I do have a listing in Lakewood Creek West with no SSA (2840 Heather Lane)! Good luck on your search and feel free to reach out with any questions (630-408-4561).

@tinworks1034 that’s where I used to live for 15 years! I loved it until Mayfield Dr became a racing strip!

@emrich683 yea my husband is on a mission to get those douche bags arrested  Last summer he drove after them and told them he knows who they are and will call the cops next time if they don’t knock it off

@tinworks1034 so many accidents it was just so scary! Took me like 5 min to back out of my driveway!
