A couple questions.  1st paycheck of following BBP, I put $15 into my car maintenance envelope.A couple questions. 1st paycheck of following BBP, I put $15 into my car maintenance envelope. Yesterday I sold a couple things & made $15. We really need to get our oil changed, so I just put that extra $15 into the car maintenance envelope, so there is now a total of $30. On my budget sheet for today's paycheck (1/31) I budgeted $10 to put into our car maintenance envelope, when I fill in the actual, do I put $25 because that is what I actually put into it? We will be getting our oil changed Monday probably, so do I write just what we spent? Not sure what to do, this is my 1st paycheck actually using the workbook so I'm a little confused!

Only include the extra 15 if you also include it as income. If its a small amount like that, and it only has that one purpose, I don't usually add it to my overall budget. It's up to you, but make sure if you do put 25, to include the additional 15 as income.
