Hi!  I want to buy an iPad Pro to do my budgeting online and as well work things - it would function for a bunch of different things.Hi! I want to buy an iPad Pro to do my budgeting online and as well work things - it would function for a bunch of different things. I'm saving for it as its expensive but was wondering if anyone uses a tablet or some sort to do their budgeting? do you like it? dislike it? I want the iPad Pro to be able to use the pen so I can directly write on the budget by paycheck book.

Currently using an out of date IPad Air to digitally use the BBP. Personally I love it so much I made an IPad sinking fund to upgrade to the latest gen IPad.

If Target sells them stock pile the $5 gift cards they give with certain purchases. It might help you save up

@rucksack this is a good idea.

I use the iPad Air and I can use the Apple Pencil with it. I budget through it and I love it because I can erase when I make mistakes and since I’m a bit of a neat freak it helps me. I also use it for procreate and although I want the iPad Pro it’s way too expensive if you’re not a designer or going to use the pro apps on it (in my opinion)

@khufu3538 I want the iPad Air! It’s the cheapest. I’m also a neat freak and my sister is huge on being environmentally friendly & printing isn’t really environmentally friendly lol I definitely am not a designer or a photography (Although j tried to be lol) I work with kids with autism - so I love the idea of the pencil because we could use it as a teaching method too. I’m just worried I won’t use it much other than Budgeting since I have a Mac book too

The “standard” iPad out now is compatible with the Apple Pencil as well and is very responsive. My daughter uses this set up for digital art classes. Plenty of reviews online comparing the new “standard” to one generation prior “pro” . and the standard coming out on top on many cases!

@sententious looks like 419 cad is the best deal on bestbuy. ca for an open box. Bummer it’s not on sale for y’all too!

Are you close to the border? I know I have family who will drive across for deals . (Hubby is Canadian and I’m American so we have a fair amount of experience with the back and forth! )
by (230 points)
@linen I am ! I live in Niagara Falls bjt I’m too scared to do that ahaha
by (230 points)
@linen that’s even cheaper than what I found but I didn’t look at open boxes! Where would I even find that
by (150 points)
@sententious it’s so easy to Drive across and get! With that said it only saves 45 bucks usd so depending on how long it would take it may not be worth it. Let me get you the ca link for the open box!

I have a 7th generation iPad that my husband gave me for Christmas. Right now I’m using free/inexpensive printables turned PDFs in OneNote to do my budgeting. I love it! Eventually I might transition to the full workbook PDF in Goodnotes, but that isn’t in my budget just yet.

@physicality so you have the pencil with it as well?
by (230 points)
I’ve already bought the budget by pay check book

I’m using a basic stylus right now. My anniversary is in February. My husband usually pops for flowers for Valentines Day and our anniversary through his side hustle money. I told him that this year I’d rather have an Apple Pencil.

@physicality this is genius. I dowloaded the WHOLE workbook as one file to OneNote and the file was too big and wouldn’t save properly. I didn’t even think to break it up into tabs like you did! SO SMART!

I have the iPad Pro 11 with the Apple Pencil 2. I absolutely write directly on it using the budget by paycheck workbook PDF file! I use GoodNotes app to write on the PDF file. I absolutely love it, however I am seriously a pen on paper girl, so I have a matte screen protector that makes it feel like paper

I have a regular iPad app 10. 5 gen 7 with the first gen Apple pen and it works great. I got it all for about 500 including Apple care . You can get a discount for being a student / teacher .

@handout How many GB? I’m not a teacher or a student sadly
by (230 points)
@handout ah that’s good
by (150 points)
@sententious I got it at the Apple store . They sell there certified refurbished products too. I also got free Apple TV for a year . I got it around Christmas.
by (150 points)
It may have been slightly over 500 but I paid cash and all I had was 560 in my envelope. I definitely had money left over because I got a case off Amazon and a screen protector with the extra money.

@handout yah the one I found was 128 GB, $549 before tax. I’m in Ontario - not sure if you are
