Is the banana business profitable? Are they innovators or just people milking an existing product line? You get the point.

Obviously this is just an arbitrary example you are using, but bananas actually are under threat from a fungus that may overtake the entire species that we see in stores today. They'll have to either do some genetic modifications or change to a different variety altogether. Just a further demonstration of the importance of research before investing
