With summer upon us, my parents and in laws are pitching in to get a swingset for my backyard for the 3 kids - ages 8, 6, and 1. 5. Where did you get your swing set? And did you put it together or did you have someone do that for you? We’re looking for one in the ballpark of $800-1000.

We just bought one from Menards. Placed the order online that way the employees got everything together and then loaded it for us. My husband is a mechanic and has a ton of tools so he put it together instead of paying to get it done

And Menards has the 11% rebate right now, another reason we went with them

Our set was on the cheaper end $600 and it took 10 hours to put together. I definitely would have paid someone to do it depending on how much they charged

would 100% recommend this place in Naperville on Route 59. Their playsets are more quality than Costco but less than a rainbow. A great middle ground that doesn’t break the budget, but is sturdy and looks expensive. They also deliver and build for you.

@rodrigo just want to chime in that they are sold out of their “safari” series right now, which are the lower price range sets.

Unfortunately everything is completely sold out! You just have to keep stalking the pages on a daily basis. Also check sites like Wayfair, Overstock. I got one from Walmart and it sold out in less than 5 mins!

We bought one 4 years ago from willygoat. com Not sure about pricing anymore, but it was mich cheaper than any other place we had looked. I put it together myself, and it took forever but its held up for 4 years now! If you can follow IKEA style directions and have decent knowledge of how to deal with a drill and bolts and screws, you can do it yourself. I was doing it myself and chasing a toddler at the time, so that’s why it took so long. Hope you find something- seems like all outdoor equipment is sold out everywhere

If you look at mom groups or local groups. People often give them away or sell at low prices to get them out of their yards
