What’s the youngest age for bunk beds for kids?

My boys are 6&4 now but they have been in bunk beds since they were 4&2. Obviously the older one on top. We got ones from ikea and they aren’t that high and have guards

And it’s low to the ground so If he was to roll off he would totally be ok. But he never did

Christopher has a bunk bed and it says you have to be 6 to sleep on the top

@twosided45130 ok thank you. They share a room and bunks would help with their new twin beds. But guess we’ll be waiting a little longer!

We did last year when they were 4&5 yr old

My kids were 6&2 as well. We found a guard rail for the bottom bunk

We got one for my daughter shortly before she turned 3. At that time it was just her. So she slept on the bottom and stuffed animals lived up top.

Well when my 2nd was on the way, my 2 year old was moved out of crib, into bunk, also potty trained. She slept on bottom till around 4-5 years old and moved up top when the newest kiddo was potty trained just before 2 years old and she then slept on the bottom

Top bunk with rails (good ones) - an older age 2 would be ok
