@sheeting I believe they have missed their chance to increase profits. $10 for curbside side pick up! That's a lot.

We went to Sam's today & hadn't been for some time. When we rang things up my husband was in shock. He hasn't been doing the shopping during this time & I had been telling him how some things were really up. He still can't get over it. Probably multiple factors at work - supply/demand issues & someone has to be pay for the hazard pay the essential employees are getting. My guess is those things are being passed on to the consumer. ‍♀️

I usually shop aldis. Their prices are higher too and shelves not completely stocked like it used to be. These days it's hard to go to different stores to bargain shop. Maybe things will improve someday.

Where is Peter Rubi?
by (1.2k points)
@pigling it’s on 59, south of 30 on the west side of the street. It’s in a strip mall next to tischler’s (butcher). There is also a jimmy johns, a daycare, and a laundromat in the plaza.

@steere16 oh yeah I remember that. We live pretty far north in Plainfield. we used to live downtown but everything is changed over there. Thank you so much I thought that was just for fruits and vegetables

@pigling Peter Rubi is, although they do have some packaged pastas, sauces, and drinks but tischlers has meat

@steere16 I've always been going to Caputo's cuz it's about like 4 minutes from my house. But everywhere thr meat has went up. I feel bad for people after they get off this 6-month unemployment situation hopefully many of them go back to their original jobs. I don't know how businesses will make it if they can't open.

I spent $35 yesterday! I got a whole case of strawberries/blueberries/blackberries (3 cases total), half a watermelon, cherries, mangos, basket of kiwi, cauliflower rice, basket of onions, basket of tomatos, basket of honeycrisp apples and corn on the cob

The meat i have been getting at sams club went from 5. 37# to 10. 79#. No more sirloin steak for we 7 people at that price. And they were out of the meat I usually buy. completely. the last two weeks there.
