Question

So before COVID came along, my husband and I went out for date nights at least a couple times a month! Now being stuck at home, we need something new and different. Have any of you and your spouses done any of those “date night box” subscriptions? I’ve heard of them and the concept seems fun and interesting but I’m not sure which are worth doing! Any advice is appreciated during these hard times

We have been going on “car dates” we go order out from a restaurant, eat in the car and spend time together. I ask her out on a date at least once a week. I even made her this sign yesterday. Lol

I got my husband “hunt a killer” a few months ago for his birthday (I think a 6 month subscription) and we just did the first box on Saturday. It is so much fun, very detailed and well thought out. It took a couple hours to do the first box, although we took our time. I highly recommend We did a couple date night boxes a few years ago and they were OK but I think hunt a killer is more fun.

We’ve been playing skip bo after dinner, we keep a tally on the refrigerator!

We bought some fun games on amazon. We have a bonfire, play games, and occasionally make a drink. We really enjoy Klask, Blokus for 2 and darts. I really want to recreate a wine and paint night but it’s impossible to find a decent set of paint online. I think a lot of people had the same idea.

I was thrilled with the few we’ve tried. One is still sitting in the closet collecting dust. We have painted twice and have loved that. We’ve also done escape rooms and killer ones that we loved.

Date night: put kids to bed early, put on something minimal & sexy and “watch” a movie, maybe drink some coffee/wine on your back porch, enjoy life    ☕️
