Question

How can I keep my 3 month old safe out in the sun while my preschooler plays in her pool? Any options other than dressing him in head-to-toe UPF clothing?

Use a pack n play and put a fitted sheet over the top

Are there big beach umbrellas? Like a patio umbrella?

Sit in the shade. Baby will be fine

My SIL had a may born baby and she used to put him in the stroller, reclined, sunshade down, upf blanket in case his feet would stick out, and then a soft icepack wrapped in a receiving blanket tucked beside him.

I still used sunblock when my son was that age- he was born in April last year and has two older siblings so we were outside. Just a little on top of hands and feet. Stroller with sunshade and clip on fans. Summer infant play pen with sunshade and his little bouncer inside. Or I sat with him under the patio umbrella.

Put up an umbrella to shade the baby, do pool during nap times, put the baby inside the house where she is in the AC and you can see her with the baby monitor maybe?

I bought a pop up beach shelter. The 5-month old was playing in it today while the 3 year old ran wild!
