Weird question but has anyone ever receive a SEXTORTION text message to their cell? My hubby received one earlier today so just wanted to know if you reported it and how you protect against this spam on your cell phones.

Ha. I received one last week. Saying they had my password and then listed it and all my phone contacts, had video of me masturbating and that if I didn't give them $3000 in bitcoin that they were going to send the video to 5 of my contacts.

@sulphuric59 yes. I spoke to several of my law enforcement friends and that's what they suggested. There was no need to file a police report.

I’ve seen several people post about them so I think they are common. Not sure what else you can do but block the number.

I got an email about it once, I deleted it, nothing happened. Luckily lol. But they screwed up saying they knew I watched porn on my computer and they were going to share it, nope, my laptop is a government computer, those sites are blocked, my other computer is a super slow desktop in my loft out in the open, pretty sure not watching porn there, so if I had watched porn it would be on my phone and I def wouldnt have any kind of account so my plan was just to say I clicked on some link by accident! Bot that I watch porn, but I had a plan just in case

I got the same email about 2 weeks ago, just deleted it and nothing happened
