Hi!  We are getting a pool installed June 12th, we are looking for best options for filling.Hi! We are getting a pool installed June 12th, we are looking for best options for filling. I've heard rumors that the fire department can do it? Is that true? Or we can obviously fill up from our house with the hose. I know there are companies too. What is your experience with the best option, especially cheapest option. FYI: I have a Plainfield address but we are Joliet for a lot of of stuff.

Oh wow! Okay, that's a huge difference than an entire day with the hose.

Plainfield offers a one time discount for your first fill up on your water bill. I don’t know how that affects you with the Plainfield vs Joliet location though.

We use two hoses 15 years ago and called the water department and they cut us a deal

I'll have to call our water department in Joliet and ask. Thank you!

If you have Joliet water, you can call the water department, and then you basically don’t pay sewer on those gallons. Hope that was kinda clear.

@chouinard yes something like this. Call ahead.  We had issues when we filled ours with Joliet village Plainfield address. We didn't know to call ahead.

We had a truck fill it for us. we have approximately 17, 000 gallons and it was 2 truck loads. We paid $400. 00. we started filling it with a hose as recommended and then the 2 truck loads and then topped it off with the hose again.
