@lashley poor thing. My daughter gets fevers all the time. Often with no symptoms. Pediatrician has done lab work and can’t figure out the cause.

Yes it’s probably the flu.

We have had the flu (times 4), pneumonia and hand foot and mouth (times 2). Definitely stay in contact with your doc as it could literally be anything right now

Our oldest tested positive for flu B Friday morning. (Yes, we all got our flu shots. ) Sore throat and fever were her first symptoms. Honestly thought strep. Then got super sick over the weekend. I’d have her swabbed just to be on the safe side. Flu is crazy right now and doctor said the symptoms are presenting themselves differently in every patient.

We are in Day 4 of a high fever and congestion. No other symptoms. As soon as I give her meds she bounces back to her normal self. Our doctor said it is lasting about 5-7 days

Please don’t flood the er with sick kids take them to your primary doc. Half the time they are misdiagnosed or sent home with nothing being wrong when that’s not true. Also ER is for emergency’s! As a mom my rule has been if there’s a fever there’s a problem. If your unable to keep the fever low grade I would definitely take them in however after 48 hours if it is the flu there literally nothing that can be done. Just my opinion and good luck to you and your babies

Yep. son had flu B. fever for a full six days. My daughter now has Flu A. Started off with very high fever, then slowly went down. She started tamiflu on day 1 so we're hoping it helps more then it helped my son (he started tamiflu on day 3). Onset- fever, sore throat/coughing, headache!

A combo of strep and the flu have been going around. I was told to stay far away from ERs. Head to your primary doc to have them checked out. Wouldn’t want anyone else catching it!

Yes, my 4 year old had flu symptoms first (although tested negative) then strep (test was not 100% positive either) but did have Non-stop fever for over a week. Plus cough, mostly at night. Our pediatrician gave us an antibiotic and it’s helped. Not contagious and finally back at school. We also started out with Tamiflu. It was a really rough few weeks. Now I’m checking my 1 year old.

Yes. Started 3 weeks ago and my youngest had high fever for 8 days. Turned into a double ear infection. Was off medicine for two days and then fever came back with a vengeance at 104. 6. Had it for three days and now is normal temp for today.

Mine has been down with a fever since Friday. She still has a 102 fever today so another day home tomorrow, day 6! Doctor told us 4-7 days of fever is what they’re seeing.

Influenza A for mine. Never threw up or nasty bowels but had a hard time getting his fever to break. Once it broke, it would sky rocket up after a couple hours. Went on for over a week. It's a nasty one!
