Question

Have any of you put castor oil in your shampoo to help promote hair growth and had success? Best supplements for hair growth? Please no Monat product recommendations. Just looking for a yes/no about the castor oil and supplement recommendations you've actually used and noticed a difference. Thank you! ‍♀️

I would rub a small amount on your scalp before bed, then wash in the morning. I would hesitate to add oil to shampoo bc it may not allow the surfactants in the shampoo to properly clean your hair and scalp. Plus I doubt it would do much being applied for a few minutes then washed out anyway. You would want it to have time to penetrate your scalp so applying before bed then washing in the morning would be a good treatment.

Not for hair, but I did use it for my eyelashes after having extensions and felt it worked well  I’m not sure if it would be to heavy to mix with shampoo

I've never used castor oil but I've been using collagen powder and my hair grows pretty fast! I mix a scoop in my coffee or smoothie in the morning. It takes about a month to notice

Target has it, black Jamaican castor oil. Look up a you tube. It needs to be applied and slept with and washed out

So, my hair is growing back since chemo. I’ve been using gelatin as hair gel to tame these crazy curls. Ever since I’ve started using it, I’ve seen the fast growth. It could be totally coincidental, and I just notice the growth more. who knows?
