Has anyone taken their little ones to the Goldfish Swim School? I want to try it with my 8month old daughter by starting with open swim. Does anyone know the price?

We love it! Both of my girls swim there and started at about 8 months. Take advantage of the free trial lesson. it’ll give you a better picture than the open swim (although those are fun too). I think if you tell them we referred you we both get a month free (at least they used to run this deal. ).

@triable oh awesome! I just thought to introduce her to the water but I will do the trial class! Any idea how much the open swim cost?

@unto I think it’s about $5 and you only pay for the kids. When you are a member they give you passes to open swims too. And yes open swim is a great exposure! The water is so warm so that helps too.

@triable Can you refer multiple people? ☺️

@russom I think so!

@unto haha I am the same way!

And I love that if you have to cancel (hello flu season) you can schedule make up classes anytime within a year.

@russom I have an email I can send you about it if you want to send me yours.

@unto send me your email too if you want. it’s not a whole month free but still worth it

You can do a free trial lesson which would give you a feel for it!

I think it’s like $85 a month now for lessons. Somewhere around that.

I went twice a week with my kiddo. they are only 30 min lessons. My daughter was finally getting comfy after 20 minutes so it didn't work for us and we did it a while.

I took my son last summer starting at 11 months. He loved it! I believe it was $80 a month. It's 1 30min class every week. We really enjoyed it but decided to cancel after the summer just to save some money. You can do a trial class.

@dismay good to know thank you!

@unto you're welcome. Price was definitely 80 something. 80 or 88 is stuck in my mind. He really did enjoy it though!

@dismay any idea how much open swim costs?
by (4.1k points)
@unto no idea. I'm not sure if you have to be a member to do open swim? I know they offer free family swims sometimes. I get emails about those.

@dismay oh perfect thank you! ❤️

Do the free trial and make your decision; we were unimpressed

@saucepan aw really why is that?

@unto it was very much like an assembly line. We spent 30minutes in the pool with the instructor and she didn’t even recognize me when I asked her a question outside of the pool after we changed. Very poor customer service in my opinion and I’m in the service industry.

I have done swim lessons with both my boys starting young (like 6 mos) and honestly, unless they are afraid of the water or you just want something to do with them, it’s a waste of time and money until they are a bit older and actually understand and retain the lessons. Imo.

We’ve been at goldfish since my son was 9 months. He’s 3. Highly recommend. Do the free trial class. I may even have free family swim passes if you want to pm me and I can look tomorrow

Shane and Mia went there! Rowen was in class at 9 months and it was great.
