Anyone else experiencing ants in the house already?

No but if you soak cotton balls in peppermint oil (careful of pets) by points of entrance it'll stop them from coming in. So kill all you can and have thoes step up at the doors and by trash cans. I was amazed it worked last year

@letdown141 do it yourself use Ortho home defense works fantastic. it’s expensive to hire an exterminator and for ants use Terro ant traps. leave it out you will gather hoards of ants. about 2-3 days they will clean that container and take it back to the queen and kill them all. I recommend replacing every 4-5 months with new ones so you keep them at bay

@paz6090 get peppermint oil/ or eucalyptus oil ( about 10 drops) mix in a bottle with water spray spay spray and bounce dryer sheets they hate the small

Yep we have ants, they are crawling on the kitchen counters. We have no idea where there coming from

@letdown141 Zander we cant figure out where they are coming from either. I have been spraying them dead with a bottle of vinegar water. It seems to have slowed down new ones coming in.

@nuts8577 our last outbreak was 2 weeks ago. It was the worst yet! I hope they don’t come back but we bought more of the bait traps just in case.

Just had Bob take care of an ant problem in our basement last week. We've never had an issue in our basement in 12 years and he said this particular issue was uncommon. But 48 hours after, the ants were gone, still good a week later and my entire home is taken care of for the season.

I just signed up with Terminix, but for preventative maintenance for a different insect (springtails). I wasn't a fan of the bug man as he doesn't have a guarantee.

If you want to do your own ant maintenance, these are amazing for killing them outside. Need to do outside and inside.
