Hi!  We are flying frontier airlines for Spring break.Hi! We are flying frontier airlines for Spring break. I see you are allowed one personal item as a carry on. I am trying to avoid paying a ton extra for bag charges. Has anyone brought on a school sized backpack for a frontier flight for their personal item?

Yes you can bring a back pack . Check their website for the measurements

Awesome; I will just have everyone bring a backpack in that case. From what I saw it looked like the backpacks had to be super tiny but it sounds like everyone has had no problem bringing them on so i'll risk it. Thanks everyone!

In all honesty, the people at the gate don’t even check. I’ve walked on flights with the biggest purse I own, a lap top bag, and a carry-on.

@biomedicine76 I always do as well, but my last 2 flights they made me put one of my bags into another one so I only had 2 items. But I have the TSA precheck so maybe that's why.
