Question

Just curious, my husband was at LA Fitness in Shorewood a litte while ago and he said there was what looked like a SWAT van in the parking lot. They weren’t doing anything, just parked with the door open and dressed in gear. Then as he drove north down 59 he noticed a heavy police presence parked in various locations up as he headed to his office near downtown Plainfield. Are we expecting any kind of fancy visitor that is being escorted through the area, or are they maybe staging for a drill? Like I said, it just peaked our interest and thought it was out of the ordinary.

It could be a number of things, including them setting up for entry at a location for a suspect. They wont share this kind of information with the public and it will be reported as news later I am sure. Id just go about life as normal.

SWAT staged in my subdivision when there was a hostage situation.

It could also just be a training exercise.

My husband is part of another swat team, and they do this even for warrants when the person is suspected to be dangerous.

My daughter works out at that LA fitness and lives right down the street. Anybody find out what was going on?

I woke up to about 6-7 narc cars parked investigating someone. I also live behind Walmart I wasn’t able to see what was going on Bc I had to go to work but neighbors said they were around here all day
