I got a sign from Sara Boo Creek with my name on it that I put up every year. The student wrote a message and her name on the back. Whenever I see it I think of her. I also really love the personal notes and pictures that the students draw for me. Recently, I was surprised with a sweet video of my students made by one of my parents. It was absolutely adorable and something that I will keep forever.

it was amazing! I watch it a lot! It makes me miss them more, but to have a parent take the time to put that together for me was so incredibly sweet. I’m so lucky to have very supportive parents, especially now!

One of my former kids painted a picture of my dog (from a photo), it’s the best gift I’ve ever gotten. That’s super specific though

An engraved book mark. Every chapter book I read I think of that student and the growth they made that year.

For me it’s always been more about the message than the gift. I save the cards that are personal messages and it is even more meaningful when the student and parent say how I’ve impacted their lives.

Give something that shows you know what they love and write a note. Have the kids write notes. Like another poster said, it’s the thought and sharing feelings that means the most.

Our school admin made a video of student drawings, pictures, and video messages. Hearing a student or parent say thank you for helping them succeed is incredibly rewarding and the most beautiful gift IMO.

Good advice from a nurse on Twitter if you should get the virus: I know we’re all tired of hearing/talking about it, but one thing I HAVEN’T really seen going around is advice for what happens if you DO get coronavirus (many of us will), we're only seeing advice for how to try to AVOID it.
