Anyone ever kick out their adult/teen out of their house? If so, how’d you handle not stressing out about them/it?

I mean right now probably isn’t the best time to do something like that

Really depends what they are doing and how bad it is affecting the family. As someone else said right now in the pandemic there are not a lot of choices for people to go. If it is drugs even treatment centers aren’t really taking people. Shelters are closed. I work as a social worker in a hospital and there really isn’t places for people to go

Is there anyway to take a step back have everyone have a sit-down meeting in the house? Talk about what's going on and how to improve the situation? No is probably not the time to kick anyone out unless safety is compromised. So sorry, I hope things work out

Can you give a little bit of a back story?

You might want to consult the local PD. I believe you have to give 30 days notice once they turn 18.

That's tough. I wish you the best. I'm sorry I can't provide answers but I'm always around for a venting session.

We aren’t“kicking” ours out but we did tel him in February he has until August to find a place. Have him plenty of notice and we are doing it cuz he can’t keep his room clean, won’t follow rules and can barely do his ONE chore of helping out around the house! He is 22 tho. Bout that time hahahah
