Springbrook Animal Care quoted me a price of $260 for the Feb. special to get my dog's teeth cleaned under sedation. Can anyone tell me if that is a good price or know of another vet. service to trust for this procedure? Thanks in advance.

Just make sure to ask about all of the additional costs if you find something “cheaper”. There’s a lot of add on expenses. One place had a special of $99 bit with all of the required add-ons it was really going to be about $300. My dog just had his teeth cleaned at Springbrook this week and it was $260 out the door. I opted out of the pre-cleaning blood work since he’s been under sedation not long ago and did fine. And he didn’t need any extractions.

That's a good price compared to what other typical vet offices would charge. That's if there are no other issues are found along the way, such as extractions. Definitely ask about upcharges and the extras

by all means. They are professional vets and they have a new surgical center. They keep their overhead down to provide lower priced services. People who adopt dogs from rescues have an 80 percent chance of having had the dog vaccinated, spay/neutered, lab tests, and dental through Spay IL.

I use to use Springbrook for the first year of our rescue, then I learned the value of using Spay Illinois. Low cost clinic doesn't mean poor veterinary skills, outdated equipment or building, nor does it mean their vaccines are anything less then other more expensive vets purchase. By saving funds on the basics we have more funds available for dogs in need of specialty vet care. Vist the clinic and then make your appointment if you need reassurance.

Please make sure you pay for IV fluids and pain meds during the procedure. Those are listed as optional! Which is complete BS. You would never treat a human without pain meds and IV fluids under anesthesia, should be the same for animals!

yes! People please remember you are bargain shopping for a surgical procedure. Do you believe you’d do that for yourself?
