Hi mom!  what are some of your favorite dairy free foods and snacks other than fruits and veggies?Hi mom! what are some of your favorite dairy free foods and snacks other than fruits and veggies? My infant has severe eczema, and I’m breast-feeding. I’ve tried many remedies and illuminating dairy before using a steroid creme to help him is my last resort.

Hummus and crackers. Beef jerky. Rx bars. Lara bars. Vegan protein shakes. Also, remember it’s going to take a minimum of 2 weeks of strict daily elimination (no whey, casein etc).

Nuts, oats, granola, baked sweet potatoes, oven roasted chickpeas, banana or plantain chips, kale chips air fryer or oven, roasted aspargus (even though they are fruit and vegetables). We all eat these even my kids, 2 had dairy allergies when little 2 are still allergic to all nuts, fish and seafood

Multi grain chips with guacamole, nut and seed bars, veggies and hummus, fruit, beef jerky, honey roasted peanuts, apple and peanut butter. Oreos are non dairy and aldi has awesome vegan ice cream. I’m doing the same thing, it does get easier to find things. Make sure to check allergen menus when you go out to eat. Sooo many things you wouldn’t think have milk in them. I just ordered from chili’s the other night and couldn’t believe it when only a few things off the entire menu didn’t have milk.

@colossae2720 oh and I forgot! Lately I have loved baked sweet potatoes as a snack. I’ll cook a bunch and then eat half of one as a snack and have loved it recently.

My nephew had bad eczema when my SIL was breastfeeding and it was a peanut / sesame allergy. They did allergy testing when he was about 6 months. She eliminated that from her diet and it made a big difference.

I have so many dairy free options and recipes! Do you mind if I pm you? Here are a few. instead of cows milk we use “Original Oatly”, it tastes really close to cows milk. Viola cheese and follow your heart are pretty good but they dont melt well so i use daiya for melting. In most cases if a recipe calls for heavy whipping cream you can usually substitute full fat canned coconut milk. Ben and Jerrys, Oatly, and Nada Moo are my favorite non dairy ice creams. Dairy free is actually pretty easy. It can also take 4+ wks to get it put of your system and make sure you read labels and research bc dairy is hidden in things you wouldnt think would contain it.
