There is a very minor chance of some form of hardware conflict with the new router, but with the same ssid and password 99% of the time you're in the clear.

@crossway thank you. I was just afraid if video quality will be lose if a new router comes in without clearing signal or something like That.

@perl953 nah, unless you really downgraded you'll be fine. Most routers these days can handle the bitrate ring needs very easily.

@crossway changed from orbi to eero pro. I can finally see live view quickly.

@perl953 mesh can have some benefits depending on your doorbell location, and router location. I'm a firm believer in most people don't need a mesh system, but it depends heavily on your layout. Sounds like in your case it helped you out. I enjoy the features of the high end routers too much to give them up!

@perl953 I made the switch from orbi to eero pro and have never been happier. Stuff just works now.

@perl953 what are they doing?

@perl953 there was one adjustment they had me do but can’t remember what it was at the moment. Call eero support and tell them you use ring and they will help you set it. It takes a few days for them to get work out and learn and then it’s smooth sailing.

@shorts Nothing. I put in the router and two beacons. The shed camera keeps on hitting the farthest beacon where there is one just 5 ft away

@shorts ok that is helpful. I made the switch Bc erro suppose to be smoother

Yep, reconnect to WiFi. It will ask if it has changed. Even if you kept same name(SSID) and password. Say yes, it has changed.

I did this yesterday with a Wi-Fi extender I ended up having to press the button on the top of the floodlight cam in order to make it to the new wifi

Not if you use the same SSID and WiFi password.
