Question

Hey guys, was wondering how anyone likes the security of ring, ie the outside cameras, inside motion and door/window? Anyone use Alexa with it. Seeing if doing it with ring is as safe as with Brinks or ADT?

My experience, as good as Brinks or ADT. Actually better as I can control all aspects, easy to add components. Feeling secure.

@pamela thank you. Ring is about half the price for what I want and sometimes less isn’t always good, but I think Ring might be better or at least the same.

@clipboard agreed, but sometimes paying more doesn't mean you get more either.  I replaced my Spectrum security a couple years ago, no regrets. Saved a bundle. Now that Spectrum has ceased security service I've had more than a dozen neighbors in my community that had Spectrum security move to Ring. They have no regrets either. As FYI, I've seen when internet communication is lost an instant switch to cell, so feel really comfortable with backup communication through cell.

I've had Ring alarm since it was released, zero issues at all with the alarm, and just finally had to replace my first battery in my back sliding door sensor. it was giving the low battery alert. was quick and easy to replace. The keypad used to lock up during 24/7 plugin, but the last firmware update fixed that. everything has been pretty much perfect since that update.

And as a BTW, Ring now sells a retrofit for existing wired alarms. Several neighbors have used it, easy install. Saves on needing to buy sensors for Windows and doors that are already wired
