I have the ring alarm, and set to test. Set delay to 1 minute. All devices set to be monitored. So went to test it by arming the front door, entered the code, set to away and then sat in the porch for 3 minute and then entered and opened the front door which has the main sensor. No siren?!. got an alert that the door was had been opened but no alarm noise as I was expecting. Anyone got any ideas? Or have I not set something? Thanks in advance

If when you configured it you set it as a main door it defaults to an entry delay to give you time to enter and disarm the system before triggering the alarm. I have mine set to 30 seconds

Your entry delay of 1 minute needs to pass

@chinchilla try it again. It seems you set an additional minute besides the feat already built in which I think is 30 seconds. Make sure the door is set as an entry door and is set to be armed in your away mode.

@chinchilla if you get a notification that the door opened I would first check in the home/awAy mode to see if you have it checked to be armed.

There is 2 places that need to be checked. The settings for the actual sensor itself and in modes in settings for the alarm. Check to make sure it is selected in both.

@chinchilla go to the devices and click alarm basestation and then find the door sensor itself and check to see if it is clicked. If it is then I would chat with CS because it makes no sense that it sends open notifications and not trigger alarm.

@chinchilla glad to help!

@chinchilla you can access chat 24/7 and I find that easier because of language barriers. Tier 1 support is not US based usually unless they are busy.

When alarm is set and you enter home give it up to 2 mins maybe before alarm sounds
