It seems that by the time I get a notification on either my spot light or flood light. Open the app, let the pictute load the culprit is gone and I’ve got no one to yell at through the two way speaker. I even have the fast app. Is anyone else having this problem?

Me, too. The ONE time that I was able to talk to a trespasser was when I had the app open already.

Yes. I pulled in my driveway. Got out of my car walked around the car and finally the ring floodlight that should have alerted when I drove in finally said there was activity. It seems to be getting slower.

@coach7 Mine also does alert for a vehicle pulling into the driveway at night. But it does alert for cats, dogs and racoons at night. So this tells me that thw cameras rely 100% on the infrared sensor for night time functionality.

It is dependent on your wifi network speed and your internet speed. I've noticed that the more Ring devices I add to my network that the lag time for notifications also increases. Each device using your wifi router puts more load on the processing capability.

Before I updated my WiFi they would spin, I’d only see part of the picture or it was a green screen. I upgraded my WiFi to xfinity XFI gig speed and added the Orbi 3000 as an access point. And they pop right up. WiFi really does matter.

The entire Ring system is only as fast as the slowest component in the digital communication signal chain.

Common problem with which Ring does not seem concerned.

Yes, I'm usually at least half a mile from home before it alerts me that my car is pulling out of the drive
