Having had someone in my back garden last weekend, I’ve just installed two wires cameras, not too happy about having to turn notifications off through the night to stop me getting woken by cats. What’s the point of having security cameras then turning them off? Does anyone know what’s Ring plan to get the “people only mode” working?

There is a people only mode it’s on the same screen that shows how sensitive you want the motion.

@sayles it’s turned on, but it still keeps getting activated by cats (and the odd fox)

If it's really bad you could turn off notifications for them. They still record. You could go back and review everything in the mornings. I cannot stand stray cats. Luckily I only have 1 around my house now. Hes usually there at 1am and 4am lol

I spoke to a neighbour to keep her cat in 3 time. In the end the woman figured it would be easier to put the cat down rather then shut the cat flap. You have footage, call the local ranger.

You can fine tune the sensitivity in one of the apps under right hand corner setting, motion range , or set it the people recognition only .

Where is the people only selection in the wired stick up camera settings?. I see it for our floodlight camera, but not a choice for the wired stick up camera! . and I agree, the wired stick up camera notifications are non stop during the day. They hardly go off at night though (which is kind of a good thing) .
