My spotlight camera is showing dead batteries. When I change the batteries out and put two new fresh ones in, it still reads the batteries are dead. Any ideas?

If you reset your phone after placing the fresh batteries in the device the battery percentages should refresh.

I had that happen to me. The camera continued to work, and the message eventually disappeared. It's a Ring thing.

Sometimes it takes the app a little while to catch up

Mine did that last time I installed them, I just hit the reset and it reconnected and then read fine.

@pentosan53231 reset as in the top of camera button? This has been an issue for a couple weeks now. It’s also a camera with bad WiFi signal. Trying to rework my mesh system to bring it stronger signal.

@younts624 yes, I just did a quick reset on it. I expected to need to set it up again, but it all reconnected perfectly and also the battery updated in the app. I actually added another battery at that time too, so it wasn’t registering the second one and the first was showing dead. If it has weak signal then it’s probably also draining the battery more.
