When you have two ring door alarms is it best to have only one door chime or two?

It doesn't matter how many doorbells. Just how big your house is. If you'd be able to hear just having one. If you have a larger house get two.

Depending on the size of your home, depends on how many chimes you need. But don’t use them for the network part, it sucks for that. Get a mesh like Tp-Link deco if needed. I also have it with two different tones.

I have one chime in the bedroom and i use an alexa as a chime in the living room.

I wish Ring would allow you to set different tones for each doorbell so you could have the Chime sound accordingly. But they don't. Only allows for one tone per chime even if you have it linked to 2 doorbells. So, I have to use 2 chimes in the living room (one linked to the back door, one to the front each with different tones to tell them apar)t. Same is true for the kitchen and bedroom. Annoying.

@jews26618 yes, but I'm not sure why you would need/want to use both. Alexa does notifications and much more. Everyone has different situations. I have Alexas throughout the home. So, it's no issue to me to not have a chime.

@jews26618 I've heard mixed reviews on the chime pro (ring extender). If you're interested in it for that purpose, do some research and ask around. I can't say either way.
